Saint-Louis-de-France Parish – On Sunday, February 4, 2018, at its last annual meeting, the members present of the Saint-Louis-de-France Christian community unanimously approved, by a show of hands, the decision to close their parish church. The closure will take place on Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018. This decision is due to a lack of financial resources, a shortage of volunteers, and the absence of active parishioners at our Sunday services. Faced with this situation, the decision was made to retain fewer material possessions and invest more in building relationships with other Christian communities. An official closing Mass was held on May 27, 2018, presided over by Bishop Valéry Vienneau, and the community has primarily integrated itself into the neighboring parish of Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix.
